Updates on Swine Flu

H1N1, also called Swine Flu, is a new influenza virus causing illness in people. The virus spreads from person-to-person, much like regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. Several countries, including Mexico and Canada, have reported illnesses associated with the swine flu. The Swine Flu was first detected in the U.S. in April of 2009 and has since been confirmed in Pinellas County.
